Less common sexual behaviours or paraphilias are sexual behaviours in which the person repeatedly experiences high sexual arousal from objects or actions that are not typically sexual.
These may involve humiliation of the persons involved in the sexual act or include persons who do not consent to sexual intercourse. The following are the most common: exhibitionism, frotteurism, fetishism, sadism, masochism and voyeurism.
We can all be attracted to fantasies that have to do with paraphilic themes within a broader set of sexual fantasies. This is not a problem.
In contrast, people with these less common sexual behaviours are obsessed with a particular fantasy, only enjoy sex through that sexual fantasy, and may have problems in social, work and legal environments because of their behaviour.
